Given :- In the annual function, conducted by the school, the number of women present was twice the number of men and there were 100 children. In total, 340 people were present in all. How many men were present in the function ?

Answer :-

Let us assume that, there were x men present in the function .

so,

→ Number of men present = x

→ Number of women present = 2x

→ Number of children present = 100

and,

→ Total people present = 340 .

then,

→ x + 2x + 100 = 340

→ 3x = 340 - 100

→ 3x = 240

→ x = 80 .

therefore,

→ Number of men present in the function = x = 80 (Ans.)

Hence, 80 men were present in the function .
