Answer:

1,2,4 are the correct options

Explanation:

using universal law of gravitation

since the values are equal the force acting on Mo is also equal

1) consider two cases case '1' gravitational force between object Ma and Mo

  • case '2' gravitational force between object Mo and Mb
  • G= 6.67*10^-11 (same in case one and case 2)
  • M= Ma = Mb (given in first option)
  • m = Mo = Mo (from the diagram)
  • d^2  or  r^2 = Ra = Rb (given in the first option)
  • since all quantities are equal we can say that the force Ma on Mo and Mb on Mo are equal and since they are opposite in direction and acting on the same body the forces cancel out and gravitational force is zero.

2) in the second option both mass and distance between Ma and Mo are increased so they cancel out and we can say that the force Ma on Mo and Mb on Mo are equal and since they are opposite in direction and acting on the same body the forces cancel out and gravitational force is zero.

4) the same happened in option 4th also as 2nd one but here it is with Mb and Rb

hope you are clear with the question
