Given that,

Mass of block A = 4 kg

Mass of block B = 2 kg

We need to calculate the tension in block B

Using formula of tension

T=mg

Where, m = mass of block B

Put the value into the formula

T=2g

We need to calculate the normal reaction between block A and ground

Using balance equation

T+N=mg

Where, T = tension

N = normal reaction

m = mass of block A

g = acceleration due to gravity

Put the value into the formula

2g+N=4g

N=4g-2g

N=2\times10

N=20\ N

Hence, The normal reaction between block A and ground is 20 N.

(2) is correct option
