In the arrangment shown figure below , pins p and q are fixed to a metal loop and an iron rod with the help of wax. In which case are both the pins likely to fall at different times? Explain

in the second figure ( in which pins are fixed with the rod) because as the rod is getting hot from one end and the pins are also made attached with the help of wax as soon as the rod gets hotter , the wax also starts melting , hence the time will come when the first pin wax gets melted and it falls down . when the first pin falls down ,the heat gets transfered to the next pin and also falls down at different times.
