The french society was divided according their political structure. Earlier it was a monarch rule, which also led to the formation of clergy class who were close to kings and related to churches etc. Nextly was a burgoise class ie middle class that emerged in the early phase of french revolution and the lower class consisting mainly of people living in small villages - farmers, craftsmen

French society in the early eighthennth century divided into three major estates
1st estate
2nd estate
3rd estate
first estate include clergy , the people who work in churches.
second estate include nobility , the people who work on king's court.
third estate include peasants , labours , teachers , doctors, businessmen,landless labour.
Only the people of third estate has to pay Texas.
and 65% of the land was owned by first and second estate of people and businessmen and big farmers from the third estate.
