In the beginning of the poem 'Fire and Ice', the speaker favours Fire(endless desires) as a cause of destruction.
- However, Robert Frost also wrote that "If the world was to perish twice, I think I know enough to hate, to say that for destruction Ice is also great."
- Herein, Robert Frost meant that Ice(hatred) may also end the world but not as good as fire(endless desire). Here he has just given an another possibility but you need not to get confused as he holds with those who favour fire.
- There hence, fire(endless desire) is the correct answer.
