In the below experimental set-up, a student gives the card a sharp and fast horizontal flick with a
finger. (i) What will happen to the coin? (ii) State reason for your answer.

(i) the coin fall vertically into the glass tumbler due to its inertia.
(ii) this is because the inertia of the coin tries to maintain its state of rest even when the card flows off

due to inertia the coin will be at rest where the card will move on.....hence the coin will drop into the glass.....
