first we draw another line passing through x lets say it is MN||PQ||RS.
Now we have MN||PQ with QD(lets say MN intersects the∠x at D) so
∠PQD=∠QDN(alternate angles)
again we will now look onto the other side we get MN||RS with SD as the transversal. Similarly,we can say
∠RSD=∠SDN(alternate angles)
now we can observe
x=∠QDN+∠SDN
putting in values we get
x=30°+40°
x=70°
so the value pf x is 70°.
