In the below figure, PQRS is a square and T and U are respectively, the mid-points of PS and QR. Find the area of ∆OTS if PQ = 8 cm.

So, T =(8/2)cm

=4 cm

Now the mid point of PQ will also 4 cm because it is square.

now the hight of the triangle is 4cm

so the area will be ½×h×b

½×4×4

=8 cm²
