Here, BC is a transversal which intersects 2 parallel lines, AB and CD.

Therefore,

x=70° (Alternate Interior Angles)

We know if BC is parallel to ED, then,

x + y = 180° (Cointerior Angles)

y = 180° - 70°

y=110°

And lastly,

y=z (Alternate Interior Angles)

110° = z
