Tiger shooting was arranged by the villagers who were promised a thousand rupees for their hard work. They found Mrs packletide an old tiger so that she can shoot it easily.they constructed a platform for her to sit and wait and made sure that the tiger did not leave their forest before the arranged date of the shoot. Mothers hushed their singing after work, children were posted outside the forest to ensure that the tiger does not leave, goats were left carelessly to satisfy the tigers hunger. On the day if the shoot a bait was also given by the villagers so that the tiger could be lured into the trap.
