because they were very hardworking and mature enough and they gave unconditional love towards their sister .. and for her betterment .. they work very hard and do many little jobs..

Because two boys had all abilities of a gentleman like strong determination, feed for themselves, fight their own battle of life without take anyone sympathy. The war damage their home, their childhood, war also shattered them, but war doesn't destroy their spirit, their determination, their will power. So GENTLEMEN word is good for two little boys.
