I GUESS WE HAVE TO FIND THE LENGTH OF THE TANGENT....
we know that PA=QA(tangents drawn from an external Point are equal)
now,
consider ΔOPA
∠OPA=90°(The tangent at any point of a circle is perpendicular to the radius through the point of contact)
OP=3.5 cm (given)
AO=8 cm(given)
by Pythagoras theorem
OA²=PA²+PO²
PA²=OA²-PO²
PA²=(8)²-(3.5)²
PA²=64 - 12.25
PA²= 51.75
PA=√51.75
PA= 7.2(approx)
∴PA=QA=7.2
