so,
effective resistance = 3+4+5
= 12 ohm

for parallel combinations
Rp = R1R2÷R1+R2
so, Rp= 5×5÷5+5
= 25÷10
= 2.5 ohm
now for series combinations,
Rs= 2.5 + 2.5
= 5 ohm
