Solution :-
1) Two resistance are connected in parallel that is 6 ohm and 3ohm
Therefore ,
1/R in parallel = 1/R1 + 1/R2
Subsitute the required values,
1/R in parallel
= 1/6 + 1/3
= 1 + 2 /6
= 3/6
= 1/2
R in parallel = 2ohm
Now,
Total resistance = 2 + 4 = 6ohm
2) Now, we have to find the total current flowing in the circuit
Therefore,
V = IR
I = V/R
Subsitute the values,
I = 12/6
I = 2A
Hence, The total current flowing in the circuit is 2A.
3) Now, we have to find the pd across 4 ohm resistor
Therefore,
V = IR
Subsitute the required values,
V = 2 * 4
V = 8V
Hence, The potential difference across 4 ohm resistor is 8V ![. .](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=.)
