In the arm CE
2 ohm and 4 ohm resistance are in series . Therefore total resistance in arm CE is 2 + 4 = 6 ohms.
Arm Ce and arm AB are parallel
so total resistance of the circuit is :
1/Rtotal = 1/6 + 1/6
= 2/6
Rtotal = 6/2= 3 ohms
(b) Total current drawn is :
V = I Rtotal
I = V/ Rtotal
I= 3/3 = 1Ampere
