Readings in the voltmeter=4V

As voltmeter measures potential difference between two points, i.e., voltage.

Ammeter measures current.

Therefore we know that:

v = ir

=>

i =  \frac{v}{r}

=>

i =  \frac{4v}{9ohms}

=>

i =  \frac{4}{9}ampere

=>

0.44...ampere

Therefore readings of ammeter is 0.44A
