Since it is resonating frequency V2=0
Then
V1=V3=E0

The readings of V_1 and V_3 will be V_o/\sqrt{2} and the reading of V_2 will be 0.

  • Resonance in a series RLC circuit is the condition in which a circuit will have the maximum current flowing through it.
  • In this condition the voltages across the inductor and the capacitor become equal but since they are out of phase they cancel out each other.
  • So, the net voltage remains across the resistor only which is the same as the input voltage.
  • The reading which we will see is the RMS value of the voltage i.e. V_o/\sqrt{2}.
