In the circuit the battery is ideal with E=15v .It sends a current I in the circuit. All the resistors are identical with each having a resistance R .At steady state the potential across the capacitor is 12v. Find R.

No matter what I did, I end up cancelling the Rs.

So the conclusion I got is that you can put any value for the R.

I'm pretty confident that your question is wrong somehow.
