In the complex, chaotic world, living a virtuous, upright life is a challenge. Despite this many people are
apparently engaged in doing good and are trying to lead meaningful lives. The question is; A a deeper level, are
all ‘right’ acts justifiably right? The Quran states, “Your actions will be judged by your intentions.” Charity which is
not the corollary of compassion is ostensibly good. But he who helps others for acquiring name and fame for
himself will not be earning credits for his good Karma account. An apparently devoted son, taking good care of
his old, affluent parents may be motivated more be greed than be true love.
Questions:
(1) From which scripture does the writer quote?
(2) In which condition is charity not good?
(3)Which adjectives are used for today’s world?
