variance=£x2/n - (£x/n)2

£ indicates summation of

£x2=36+64+1+81+16=198

£x= 6+8+1+9+4=28

= 198/5-(28/5)2

=198/5-784/25

=586/25

=8.56

rishilaugh: thanks
Golda: But the variance is 8.24.
Golda: Answer is wrong.
Golda: Calculation mistake. Please check it.
Golda: 198/5 - 784/25 = (990 - 784)/25 = 206/25 = 8.24
Golda: You have computed 7.44, which is wrong.
