Answer:

Explanation:

I) Rs = 5ohms

1/Rp = 1/3 + 1/6 = 2+1/6 = 1/2

Rp = 2ohms

the equivalent resistance of the network = 7 ohms.

II) I = V/R

I= 14/2 => I = 2A

III) V= IR => V= 2×7= 14V

IV) Current through the 3ohm resistor =

6/9 × 2= 4/ 3A

HOPE THIS HELPS MY MATE!!!

Answer:

(a) Equivalent Resistance of QR =

1/Rp = 1/3+1/6

Rp = 3 ohm

In series arrangement

current remains same

and potential difference varies

Re = 5 +6 ohm

= 14 ohm

V = 14 V

V = I R

I = 2 A

(b) current flowing through PQ = 2 A

(c) potential difference across PQ = 2 × 5

= 10 V
