KM is 80 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Line a is a perpendicular bisector of line segment K M. It intersects line segment K M at point L

=> LN ⊥ KM

& L is mid point of KM

=> KL = LM

KM = KL + LM

=> KM = 2 KL

=> KM = 2(6x + 4)

=> KM  = 12x + 8

now comparing ΔKLN & ΔMLN

KL = ML

LN = LN ( common)

∠KLN = ∠MLN = 90°

=>  ΔKLN ≅ ΔMLN

=> KN = LN

=> 9x - 5  = 7x + 7

=> 2x = 12

=> x = 6

KM  = 12x + 8 = 12*6 + 8 = 80

KM is 80 units
