In the diagram, the radius of the outer circle is 2x cm and the radius of the inside circle is 6 cm. The area of the shaded region is 364π cm2. What is the value of x?

area of outer circle

A=πr²

A=π(2x)²=4x²π

area of inner circle

A=π×6²=36π

thus the shaded area will be

4x²π-36π=364π

4x²π=400π

4x²=400

=100
