Dear ________(Write your friend's name here),
Hope you and your family are safe during these unprecedented times. We all are fine here and are wishing for the best. Hope this difficult phase of life passes soon and we are able to meet each other without any resistance.
I wanted to share with you a wonderful and rare experience of mine. We got to know that during this pandemic, the daily wage labourers and poor people. They are unable to make ends meet. They don't have sufficient food and are suffering from hunger as their already low-waged jobs have been lost! I immediately felt that this is not right and talked to my parents about at least helping out the people in our locality and at our proximity by providing them with sufficient food thrice a day.
My parents thought that this idea was fabulous. They said, "Of course! It is our duty to help them out! And not only OUR duty it's everyone's duty who have got even a little sense of humanity in them!"
So, from the next day onwards, my mother and I cooked huge amounts of food together and my father went out (with double masks, face shield and gloves) to distribute them to the needy ones in our locality. After he came back we realised that we have some extra food left with us, so he took that with him and distributed it to the Covid positive families making their work ten times easier!
After following the same routine for a week, we began getting calls from Covid positive families for tiffin services. They said that they would pay us Rs. 500 per meal but my father immediately said that he will start "FREE TIFFIN SERVICES FOR POOR AND COVID POSITIVE FAMILIES"! That was the moment when I felt really proud to say that I am his daughter! So from that day we are providing needy people with tiffin services not for the sake of money/business but for showing our humanity!
I hope you liked my experience of being indulged in that process. I hope of hearing from you soon.
Yours lovingly
