in the electric eupiment producing heat ex. iron, electric heater, boiler, toaster etc, an alloy nichrome is used to,not pure metals why

electrical equipments like Iron, electric heater, boiler, etc where made up of alone like a nichrome and not of pure metals because I know it conducts more heat than pure metal

Because of following reasons :-

1. Alloy has higher resistivity than pure metal.

2. It has high melting point and does not burn readily or oxidise
