gas in anode is hydrogen and in cathode is oxygen
it is becoz the ratio of gasses is 1:2
to dry the gasses

ANSWER
...........

1. THE GAS COLLECTED AT THE ANODE AND CATHODE ARE
1. anode - oxygen
2. cathode - hydrogen

water is H2O here

2. we can see that there is 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom .therefor in the proportion of 2:1 . Therefore the gas collected in one is double the other

3. If H2SO4 is not added then there would not be a flow of ions therefore the reaction wont take place since current cant flow through it.
