Given Y = A  sin ( wt -  kx);  also it is given that it is time and X is the distance.The given equation is in the form of Y equal to a sin theta where  theta = (  WT- kx)

Hence we can say (wt-kx) is unitless

Now we can say WT equal to  \mathrm{M}^{0} \mathrm{L}^{0} \mathrm{T}^{0}

\Leftrightarrow \mathrm{W}=\frac{M^{0} L^{0} T^{0}}{T}=\mathrm{M}^{0} \mathrm{L}^{0} \mathrm{T}^{-1}

Now we can say kx equal to \mathrm{M}^{0} \mathrm{L}^{0} \mathrm{T}^{0}

\Rightarrow \mathrm{K}=\frac{M^{0} L^{0} T^{0}}{L}=\mathrm{M}^{0} \mathrm{L}^{-1} \mathrm{T}^{0}
