I let 'D' as any point on BC,
ΔABC, BD= (¼) BC
AB = BC = CA = a (say)
Hence DC = (3/4) BC = 3a/4
Draw AE ⊥ BC ⇒ BE = EC = (1/2) BC=a/2
Since ABC is equilateral triangle, Hence DE = BE – BD In DAED, by Pythagoras theorem we have
16AD²= 13BC²
