the sides are equal than we draw perpendicular on base then it makes 90degree angle then by pythagoras theorem ac^2=ab^2+bc^2 then 24*24=12*12+perpendicular (am) squaroot then (altitude)^2 =(24*24)-(12*12)
576-144=am^2
432=am^2
am=under root of 432
altitude=20.78
576-144=am^2
432=am^2
am=under root of 432
altitude=20.78
