In the experiment to determine the density of a solid, the initial level of water in a
measuring cylinder was 50 ml. After immersing the solid body, the water level
rose to 70 ml. Calculate the volume of the solid.

If you have read about Archimedes principle in highschool, you would know that the amount of water (or any incompressible liquid for that matter) displaced by an immersed body is equal to its volume. So, the volume of body = (70-50) mL = 20 mL
