In the experiment to show that CO2 is released during respiration partial vacuum is created because, CO2 realesed by germinating seeds is absorbed by potassium hydroxide (KOH) so partial vaccum is created. The setup to test the release of CO2 in respiration contains the following apparatus: Germinating seeds.
