In the experiment to study the dependence of current on the potential difference across a resistor, a student obtain the graph is shown

(1) what does the graph defect about the dependence of current on the potential difference ?

(2) find the current that flows through the resistor when the potential difference across it is 2.5 volt

1.Here current is directly proportional to potential difference that means if the current will increased the potential difference will also increase.

2.the current that flows through the resistor when The potential differece across it is 2.5 volt is 0.3/2 current.

I hope it will help you

Answer:(i) Current (I) is directly proportional to potential difference (V).

(ii) As I is directly proportional to V , i.e. I α V

V= 2.5v

then , according to graph I =0.25 Amp.

Hope it helps you
