In the fig. 4.40,AD is of <BAC, if AB=10cm, AC=14cm and BC=6cm.Find BD and DC.

BD=2.5CM , CD=3.5CM

Step-by-step explanation:

in ΔABC

AD bisect ∠BAC

BD/CD=AB/AC

⇒x/6-x=5/14=5/7

7x=30-5x

x=30/12=5/2

x=2.5cm

BD=2.5CM

CD=3.5CM
