Cons: Draw a line MN through P parallel to the AB and CD line.
Then,
angle ABP=angleBPN(alt. int. angles are equal)
AngleBPN=30°
And,
angleCDP=angle DPN
angle DPN=40°
Hence,
angle BPD=40°+30°=70°
hope it helps u.

The value of x is 70°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information: AB║CD, ∠ABP=30° and ∠CDP=40°.

Draw a line XY parallel to AB and CD, an passes through the point point P.

If a transversal line intersect two parallel lines, then alternative interior angles are same.

\angle BPY=\angle ABP=30^{\circ}

\angle DPY=\angle CDP=40^{\circ}

We need to find the value of x.

x=\angle BPY+\angle DPY=30+40=70

Therefore, the value of x is 70°.
