 {am}^{2}  =  {oa}^{2}  -  {om}^{2}

 = ( { - 5}^{2} ) - ( {3}^{2} )

 = 25 - 9

 = 4 \: cm

w e \: know \: that \: perpendicular \: from  \: centre \: bisects \: cord \:

therefore \: ab \:  = 2 \: am

ab \:  = 8 \: cm
