Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of semicircle APB & CQD = 4 cm

Diameter of semicircle ARC & BSD = 12 cm

From the given figure We have,

FOR SEMICIRCLE ARC:

Diameter AC =12 cm

Radius for semicircle ARC = 12/2= 6 cm

FOR SEMICIRCLE APB

Diameter AB=6 cm

Radius for semicircle AB = 6/2 cm

FOR SEMICIRCLE BSD

Diameter BD =12 cm

Radius for semicircle BD = 12/2= 6 cm

FOR SEMICIRCLE CQD

Diameter CD=6 cm

Radius for semicircle CD = 6/2 cm

PERIMETER OF CIRCLE = πr

Perimeter of the shaded region= Perimeters of semicircle (ARC + APB + BSD + CQD)

Perimeter of the shaded region= π×6 + π ×6/2 +π×6+ π ×6/2

= π(6+6/2+6/6/2)

= π(12+ 6/2+4/2) = π( 12 +4)

= 20/6 × 16

=  160/3  =  53.3cm

Hence, the Perimeter of the shaded region is 53.3 cm.
