in the fig. O is the centre of the circle. arc PQ= arc QR= arc PR. Find the measure of each arc.

Given :  A circle

m arc(PQ) = m arc(QR) = m arc(PR)  

To Find : measure of each arc.

Solution:

Full circle 360°

m arc(QR) + m arc(PQ) + m arc ( PR)  = 360°

Let say  m arc(PQ) = m arc(QR) = m arc(PR)    = x

=> x  + x + x   = 360°

=> 3x =  360°

=>  x  = 120°

the measure of each arc  =120°
