traingle ADE and parallelogram ABCD lie on same base AD and between same parallels AD AND BC.

BY THEROEM

We get that

ar(ADE) = 1/2ar(ABCD)

24 = 1/2 ar(ABCD)

24*2 = ar(ABCD)

48 = ar(ABCD)

THEREFORE AREA OF PARALLELOGRAM ABCD IS 48cm.
