Answer:

<x=110

<y=140

<z=70

Step-by-step explanation:

<40 and w form a linear pair

<w=180-40=140

<w=140=<y                [since these are corresponding angles]

<110=<x                          [since these are corresponding angles]

<x and <z = linear pair

<z=180-110=70

Given :-

  • l || m .
  • ∠ABC = 40° .
  • ∠GFB = 110°.

To Find :-

  • ∠x , ∠y and ∠z = ?

Solution :-

→ ∠ABC + ∠ABF = 180° { Linear pair. }

→ 40° + ∠ABF = 180°

→ ∠ABF = 180° - 40°

→ ∠ABF = 140°

so,

→ ∠ABF = ∠BDE { Corresponding angles. }

then,

→ ∠y = 140° (Ans.)

similarly,

→ ∠GFB = ∠FED { Corresponding angles. }

then,

→ ∠x = 110° (Ans.)

therefore,

→ ∠x + ∠z = 180° { Linear pair. }

→ 110° + ∠z = 180°

→ ∠z = 180° - 110°

→ ∠z = 70° (Ans.)
