SINCE TANGENTS DRAWN FROM AN EXTERNAL POINT TO A CIRCLE ARE EQUAL.

BY ADDING (1),(2),(3)&(4)

WE GET,

AP+BP+CR+DR=AS+BQ+CQ+DS

->(AP+BP)+(CR+DR)=(AS+DS)+(BQ+CQ)

->(8)+(5)=(AD)+(7)

->13=AD+7

->AD=13-7

->AD=6CM
