AB||BC

AD is transversal

therefore,

angle2=angleB.-------------------1

NOW In triangle ABC

by ext. angle property

angle B + angle C=ANGLE CAD

ANGLE 2+ ANGLE C=ANGLE 1+ ANGLE 2

=>angleC=angle1-------------------------2

now,/_1=/_2

therefore

angleB= angleC

AC=AB(sides opp. to equal angles)

therefore

triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle
