AB/2=AC/2
by Euclid's axiom half of equals are equal

Since, ab =bc , m is the mid point of ab and n is the midpoint of bc.

then

m=\frac{ab}{2} and n=\frac{bc}{2}

ab =bc

divide both the sides by 2, in above expression

\frac{ab}{2}=\frac{bc}{2}

by Euclid's axiom half of equals are equal,

m=n  

am=nc

Hence proved.
