Answer:

Let the base of the triangle be PQ=4 cm, then the height is RT=6 cm.

Hence area of triangle

=21base×height=21(4)(6)=12 cm2

Now A=12 cm2

Hence,

21PR×QS=12

⟹21×8×QS=12

⟹QS=3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle PQR, PQ = 4 cm PR = 8 cm and RT = 6 cm (i) Area of ∆PQR = 1/2 x Base x height = 1/2 x PQ x RT = 1/2 x 4 x 6 = 2 x 6 = 12 sq. cm (ii) Area of ∆PQR = 12 sq. cm ⇒ 1/2 x PR x QS = 12 ⇒ 1/2 x 8 x QS = 12 ⇒ QS = (12 x 2)/8 = 3 cmRead more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/837072/in-triangle-pqr-given-figure-pq-4-cm-pr-8-cm-rt-6-cm-then-find-i-area-of-pqr-ii-length-of-qs
