In the figure ABC is a triangle with angleB = 60°. PQ is parallel to BC. Find the measure of angle x and angle y.​

WKT

Sum of all interior angles in a triangle is 180°

→ ∠BAC+∠ABC+∠ACB = 180°

→ 50°+60°+x = 180°

→ 110°+x = 180°

→ x = 180°-110°

→ x = 70°

  • Value of x ☞ 70°

As, PQ||BC & AB is as transversal.

→ ∠ACB = ∠QAC [Alternative Interior Angles]

→ 70° = y

  • Value of y ☞ 70°
