in the figure ABCD and DEFG are rectangles find area of shaded region​

Hello dost,

here,

AB = DC = DG + GC

AB = DC= 7 + 2 = 9

&

AD = BC = DE + EA

AD = BC = 4 + 2 = 6

Now area of ABCD = (AD × AB) = 9 × 6 = 54

&

area of DEFG = (DG × GF) = 7 × 4 = 28

NOW area of shaded region is...

area of ABCD - area of DEFG = 54 - 28 = 32

SO ANSWER = 32 cm²
