in the figure, abcd is a rectangle. p is the mid point DC if QB=7cm,AD=9CM and DC=24 CM, then prove that angle APQ=90 degree​

as p is the midpoint of dc so,dp=pc=12cm

and as ad = 9cm , ap² = 12² + 9²           {Pythagoras theorem}

ap²=144 + 81

ap²=225

ap = 15

now, as qb = 7cm and ad = 9cm then

qc = 16cm

and pq²=16²+12²                              {Pythagoras theorem}        

pq²=256+144

pq²=400

pq=20cm

now aq² = 7²+24²                             {Pythagoras theorem}

              = 49+576

              = 625

aq = 25 cm

now, if ap²+pq² = aq² then it is right angled

=> 15²+20² = aq²

=>225+400 =aq²

=> 625 =aq²

=>25=25

∴the triangle is right angledat  ∠apq.
