In the figure, ABCD is a square of side 14 cm. Semi-circles are drawn with each side of square as diameter. Find the area of the shaded region.

Answer:

Area of shaded region=84cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of shaded region

=2×(Area of square-Area of circle)

=2×[(side)²-πr²]

=2×[(14)²-22/7×14/2×14/2]

=2×(196-22×7)

=2×(196-154)

=2×42

=84cm²
