in the figure above, ABC is an isosceles triangle with AB=AC. If <ABC = 50°, find <BDC and <BEC.

In ∆ ABC

AB=AC

then,

angle ABC= ACB=50°

angle ABC +angle ACB+ angle BAC=180°

50°+50°+ angle BAC= 180°

angle BAC= 180° -100°

angle BAC= 80°

Arc BC

angle BAC= angle BDC ( angle in same segment)

Angle BDC= 80°

In∆ BEC

angle BEC=90°( because BC is a diameter)

Angle BEC= 90°
