In the figure AD is the altitude of
A ABC and AB = AC. If 3BD 3AD
and 3DE = 4AD. Prove that

Given that

ABC is an isosceles triangle

So ,

AB =AC ( 1 )

Also , AD is the altitude .

So ,ADC =ADB =90 (2)

To prove

1 ) BD = CD

2 ) BAD =CAD

proof In ADB and ADC

ADC =ADB=90

AB =AC (From 1)

AD = AD

ADB = ADC

Hence by CPCT

BD =DC and ABC = DAC

hence proved
